Bohemian Crunch. Welcoming the Creative YOU to our Mini Exhibit Series.

The Crafter's Guild is the entity responsible for the annual Crafter's Expo that is scheduled to take place in December. The Bohemian Crunch is a smaller event series to keep the craft spirit alive, and to bring together like minded people once or twice a month to support artisans and handmade crafts in the city of Karachi.The event is the first in a series of weekend mixers and bazaars. It is an open house for all creative and crafty individuals to come on by with friends and family to interact, network and further shop from selected vendors that are on rotation every month.

The event promotes handmade work and home-spun businesses driven by young entrepreneurs and even women. The mini series hopes to train first timers with experience on how to display their products in unconventional settings, to introduce themselves and their work to clients on a personal level, and to allow them to break ice with prospect opportunities in the future by making friends in the process.

Why are we going small?Think of these mini exhibits as training platforms for the larger arena! We noticed that a lot of vendors become worried, panic or freeze when in the company of larger crowds. They become overwhelmed and it becomes hard to express the feelings behind one's work and efforts. These mini exhibits will help those new to exhibiting and will groom our veterans, as well. The idea is simple. The environments are pleasant, they are secure, it's easier to talk about your work, who you are and what you do... and there's a bigger chance when people go home, they'll remember you better and know YOU and what you do better! We encourage students and young entrepreneurs to take part at these events to introduce themselves, to present their work in fun, whimsical displays and learn the ropes on how to manage their time and prepare for events where they need to represent themselves. The spaces we are opting for are social spaces and shared work lounges. These will allow a slightly cozier marketplace setting.

Once you get the hang of how it works with us at the Crafter's Guild, you can dive out to reach larger audiences and showcase on larger platforms such as the Crafter's Expo itself. Please note, we look toward welcoming original work and unique ideas. We do not encourage work that is already being fashioned commercially in the market, and we will continue with our copyrights and creative concepts policy (as set for the Crafter's Expo). No googled images, no printed clipart, and certainly no use of characters, movies, cartoons, designs that do not belong to you. This platform is not intended for wholesalers or retailers dealing with imported items or reselling acquired goods.
