About Us

In August, 2012 Firefly intended to have some friends on board for a mini exhibit after the Ultimate Crafter's Workshop. Considering the amount of time needed for the appropriate exposure, preparations for a full day Crafter's Expo were organized. Within a month's time, over 50 vendors celebrated Crafts of all kinds under one roof, with a visitor turn out of over 2500 people on the one day event.

Crafter’s Expo since then has become a yearly feat in Karachi that works as a platform for Crafters and Craft enthusiasts to exhibit and  honor their talent and skill. It facilitates home owned businesses as well as NGO’s and Grass Root level organizations to support local craftsman and artisans.

70% of our vendors are under the age of 20, 90% of the brands are operated by women or work with organizations to empower women. Given the number of vendors we welcome and their constraints, the Crafter's Expo offers reasonable stall/booth charges and offers vast publicity and marketing for all its vendors. We all know how hard it is to craft and create, that too, on a budget!

The Crafter's Guild works with international manufacturers to give further value to the expo and maintains standards to add to the credibility of the yearly event.

The Crafter’s Guild does not reject or refute anyone’s work unless the authenticity or sources of it are dubious, or the fact that it does not befit the category of craft. We believe everyone has potential, and they have the right to display their work to a range of audiences, to find the niche that appreciates what they do. Selection is based on the best possible variety.

Keeping this in mind, we encourage all our vendors to strive for te best in piecing together their work, giving attention to finishing, details and ensuring refined skills. The better your work looks, the more original it is, the better chances you have of creating a fan base for your creativity and talent! Make your work stand out, and give everything you do, your best.
